University Of Central Lancashire or more popularly known as UCLAN is one of the largest universities of UK that provide more than 500 undergraduate and 180 post graduate courses of every stream. As a matter of fact, more than 35,000 students enrol with the university every year. Although it was created only in 1992, its roots can be traced back to 18th century, 1828 to be more specific. The founding institution was then called ‘Institution for the Diffusion of Knowledge’. One can make out the grandeur of this popular university located in Preston, Lancashire from its yearly turn over of £120 million with a £300 million yearly contribution to regional economy.
