This degree will equip you with the essential tools that you need for a career as an accountant, or in a general management role where financial skills and knowledge can be vital in making critical decisions.
The focus of this course is on gaining skills that will benefit you in the modern business environment, and, as part of this, you get the maximum exemptions from the examinations of all the professional accountancy bodies.
The first year gives you a broad base in core business subjects, including Accounting and Finance, providing a solid foundation for more specialized study in Years 2 and 3. You will study the two main streams of accounting – Financial Reporting and Management Accounting – and learn how to generate and utilize information for internal and external use. You will gain advanced skills as you progress through the course, with opportunities to explore the areas of auditing and taxation.
