The Graduate Admission Committee,
It gives me great pleasure to write few words in the form of a recommendation for Amit as an applicant to Masters in Public Health from your university. I have known him since last 6 years. I taught him preventive and social medicine for two years.
My first contact with Amit was during winter of 1999 when he presented a seminar on ‘Atherosclerosis’ in very first year of his undergraduate studies. I was impressed by his excellent communication skills and his ideas put forth in a cogent manner. Thereafter he was in touch with me throughout his academics.
Amit has the ability to use experimental techniques in his work. This came to my notice limpidly when he participated in 14 days workshop on ‘Epidemiological Skill Development Program’. This program was focused on applying epidemiological skills in rural area. He has shown excellent leadership abilities while conducting his work. He was comfortable even with the most complicated situation. Amit as a person is very amicable, cooperative, kind & soft-spoken. He relishes while working in a heterogeneous group.
He demonstrated good presentations in seminars conducted in our institute. He won the 2nd prize in slogan & poster competition on the topic ‘Safe Disposal of Biomedical Waste’. The effulgence of his multifaceted personality in variegated fields of activity, viz -social, creative writings in leading newspapers of this city, debating, and public relations, is ideally an example of an expected profile of an intelligently creative person.
Owing the strength to his moral character, I recommend this dynamic student of mine to the program at Glyndwr University along with financial aid and wish him all the best.
